Project Overview: For a little over a year I worked on the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Board/US. When I took on the role the website had halfway been developed but the person who was in charge was needed to work on other projects so this was contracted out.
Challenges: Completing the design in a way that worked but wasn't a complete tear down. Organization, there were lots of images but we frequently didn't know what they went with. Obtaining images of the specific resorts being featured. I had to do many work arounds because I wasn't able to get layered artwork when needed. Making sure deals were taken down once they expired. The people I was working with were very busy so staying in the loop and getting timely feedback was challenging. I worked as needed so there would be nothing for a while then there were many updates at once. Staying focused on the work when you were spending time looking at these lovely locations. We began to transition over to a Wordpress site at the end of my tenure but the hurricane hit that wiped out all of Barbuda and a big swath of Antigua so priorities changed. They shut down the US specific website and consolidated it into an international one which was based in Europe.
